Secure the Events Service

By default, the ad.es.node.http.enabled property in the Events Service configuration file is set to false. To debug or troubleshoot issues with the Events Service, you or the Splunk AppDynamics Support team can enable this property and allow HTTP requests (such as node stats) in ElasticSearch by changing the setting to true. Following the debugging session, immediately disable this property to prevent any (potential) security vulnerabilities and restart the Events Service. The downtime is dependent on the hardware and the service will be unavailable until it restarts.
