Removed features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

This topic lists computing platforms, browsers, and features for which IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) has deprecated or removed support in this version.

Analytics Workspace

Starting with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) 5.0, Analytics Workspace is deprecated for entity-related use cases. This ITSI-specific deprecation applies regardless of the underlying Splunk platform version, including Splunk Enterprise 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6. It is separate from the platform-wide deprecation of Analytics Workspace in Splunk Enterprise 10.4 and Splunk Cloud Platform 10.4.2604.

Deprecated features continue to work and remain supported until support is removed. However, customers should begin migrating entity-related workflows away from Analytics Workspace. Use the Search & Reporting app to explore and analyze metric data, and use Dashboard Studio to build replacement visualizations. Before upgrading to ITSI 5.0, inventory entity-related searches, alerts, dashboards, and workflows that open Analytics Workspace; recreate the required content and validate permissions, time ranges, searches, and results.

Metric anomaly detection

As of ITSI 4.20, the anomaly detection feature in Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) has been deprecated and will no longer receive updates, with plans for removal in future versions. Users are encouraged to transition to more robust and flexible alternatives offered within ITSI, such as adaptive thresholding with outlier detection, to ensure continued accurate monitoring and alerting.
