View collectors
Details of the Collectors across your hosts and clusters.
On the Collectors tab, you get insights about performance and status of the collectors running in different hosts and clusters in your organization.
You can filter the list by OS type, Environment, Version, and Status. Use the search bar to filter the list by cluster name or host name, which is particularly useful for large-scale environments.
Select Add filter to filter the list by availability zone or collector type.
To save the report as a CSV file, select the Download icon. The exported file includes any currently applied filters.
Host view
The Hosts view within the Collectors tab help you monitor and manage collectors specifically running on various host machines.
Summary metrics for host
You can view the following cards with summary metrics:

Total collectors: Total count of the collectors across all hosts.

Gateways collectors: Count of the total gateway collectors running on your hosts. Select the card to view the details.

Collectors out-of-date: Count of the collectors that are not on running the latest version. Select the card to view the full list.

Disconnected collectors: Count of the collectors across all hosts that are not reporting any heartbeat signal within a period. The default period is 90 seconds. Select the card to view the details.
Details of collectors on hosts
You can view the following details about the collectors running on host machines:

| Host name | The specific host or container name. |
| Environment | The environment on which the collector is deployed. For example, uam-cloudkart-host-cluster. |
| OS type | Displays the operating system such as Linux, Windows, or macOS. |
| Version | The specific version of the collector currently in use. Highlights the version that is out-of-date. |
| Last status check | The timestamp of the most recent heartbeat from the collector. |
| Type | Category of collector: Agent or Gateway. |
| Status |
Represents the health of the connection — whether the collector is actively communicating with the server. It has two values- Connected or Disconnected. Connected: The collector has reported a heartbeat signal within the last period. The default period is 90 seconds. Disconnected: The collector has not reported a heartbeat signal within the last period. The default period is 90 seconds. Collectors that do not send a heartbeat signal within a five-minute window are automatically removed from the list. |
Select a collector to view the following details:

collector summary such as collector ID, OS type and mode such as Agent, Gateway.

effective configuration of the collector in the YAML format. You can download or copy the YAML configuration file.
-
metrics related to the collector instance on the OTel Collector dashboard.
Cluster view
The Clusters view within the Collectors tab help you monitor and manage collectors specifically organized by their cluster deployment.
Summary metrics for cluster
You can view the following cards with summary metrics:

Total Collectors: Total count of the collectors across all clusters.

Collectors out-of-date : Count of the collectors that are not on running the latest version. Select the card to view the full list.

Disconnected collectors: Count of the collectors across all clusters that are not reporting any heartbeat signal within a period. The default period is 90 seconds. Select the card to view the details.
Details of collectors on clusters
You can view the following details about the collectors running on clusters:

Select the cluster from the Cluster name column to view the following details:

Platform of the collector.
-
Version of the collector running on the cluster.
-
Current health of the collector.
-
Timestamp of the most recent heartbeat.
-
Workloads such as agents, cluster receivers, or gateway that are running in the cluster.
Workload details
Select a workload from the Workloads list to view the following details:

Summary of the workload that includes platform, workload name, mode, version, and status.

Granular details of the workload:
Column Description Pod name Lists the unique identifier for the individual pod. Node Specifies the node where the pod resides. Collector id Displays the unique identifier for the collector instance. Version Indicates the software version running on the pod. Last status check Displays the timestamp of the most recent heartbeat from the collector. Status Displays the current health state of the connection.
Additionally, you can use the following buttons:

View collector logs: Opens the log viewer to troubleshoot or audit agent activity.

View collector dashboard: Navigates to a detailed dashboard for specific collector metrics.
You can use the Search by node bar to filter the list of pods by their specific node location. You can also select the Eye icon at the end of each row to inspect specific configuration details of the collector.
