Review Plan data onboarding limitations

• Guided Onboarding plans one data source per scenario.
• Complete generated tasks in the appropriate external tools, such as the AWS Management Console or Splunk Web.
• Task status updates are manual. Guided Onboarding does not validate the external state of AWS or Splunk platform resources.
• Review topology information for generic components when Guided Onboarding does not have detailed source or strategy data.

Review Schematize custom data limitations

• Upload sample files up to 30 MB.
• For uploaded files, the sample preview shows the first 30,000 characters.
• Processing time varies based on data complexity and the number of detected data groups.
• While AI processing runs, chat input might be unavailable.
• You cannot directly modify AI-generated regular expression patterns in the UI, but you can ask the assistant to update them in chat.
• You cannot directly edit generated files or packages in the UI after you generate them, but you can ask the assistant to update and regenerate them in chat.
• After you deploy the generated output, manage rollback, versioning, and monitoring outside Guided Onboarding.

Validate generated schema output

Review generated files and packages for errors or warnings in Guided Onboarding. Test performance, validate deployment, check Common Information Model (CIM) compliance, and monitor the target Splunk environment after deployment.
