You can edit or delete your GCP data inputs for Data Inputs.

Consider a scenario where you onboarded data for Google Cloud Platform accounts, and you need to to edit your data inputs after onboarding.

  1. On the Splunk Cloud home page, in the Data Management section of the left pane, select Data Inputs.
  2. On the Data Inputs page, in the Ingest inputs tab, find the GCP data input you want to revise, and select the Edit action.
  3. Deploy your edited Terraform template.

You can change the JSON Key and Data Destination fields. You cannot edit the Data Input Name, Google Cloud Dataflow Region, or GCS Bucket Name fields.

Delete a GCP data input

You can delete your GCP data inputs from the Terraform CLI using the steps in the Data Inputs app.

Before deleting this data input configuration, you need to clean up the GCP setup. The GCP cleanup process cannot be canceled or paused, while in progress.

  1. Extract the template (Optional).
  2. Initialize the Terraform template (Optional).
  3. Delete the Terraform resources.
    1. In the directory where you initialized the Terraform template, delete the Terraform resources. If you have Terraform CLI, you can run the provided command in the CLI to delete the Terraform resources.
  4. Select Delete Data Input to delete your data input.
