Validate an entity discovery source
Each source in Exposure Analytics must have its relevant entity discovery fields mapped to one or more data models. To validate that the source has the appropriate entity discovery field mapping, complete the following steps:
- Select Configure then All configurations.

In the Exposure analytics section, select Entity discovery sources.
- Select the pencil icon next to the source you want to validate.
- Select Validate.
- Using the drop-down lists, select a Search time window and an Entity type. By default, you can see only the entity types that the source has been configured for. Select Display all entity types to choose from a list of all the Exposure Analytics entity types.
- Audit the table results for fields that display a check mark for Required but an X for Values found. You can deselect the Display all entity fields check box to filter the results.
- Select Save.
If you find a missing required field, modify the event search.
