Adjust posture metric thresholds
You can adjust Posture metric compliance color thresholds from their default values. For example, you can set the threshold for green to above 90% instead of above 85%.
To adjust the posture metric thresholds, complete the following steps:
-
Select Configure, then Exposure Analytics, then Configuration settings.
-
Select the Default configurations tab.
-
Under Entity posture, select Edit the Posture metric thresholds.
-
Adjust the threshold.
-
Select Update.
Select posture metrics for Entity analysis overview
The metrics displayed under Entity posture on the Entity analysis overview tab can include either all metrics or only metrics with gaps. By default, all metrics are displayed, whether the entity is compliant or has a gap.
To select the metric display preference on the Entity analysis overview tab, complete the following steps:
-
Select Configure, then Exposure Analytics, and then Configuration settings.
-
Select the Default configurations tab.
-
Under Entity posture, change the dropdown selection next to Entity analysis overview posture metrics.
-
Select All metrics or Metric gaps.
Configure posture metric trend processing
Historical posture trends for assets and users are processed on a schedule. Each time a processing search runs, it writes a snapshot of the latest metric results to a summary index, which is used to track changes in gaps and compliance over time.
By default, these searches run once per day to align with the metric's reporting cadence. When a metric is added or its logic changes, you might need to run the processing search on demand rather than wait for the next scheduled run. You might also need to adjust the schedule for these searches.
To change the posture metric trend schedule or run the processing search on demand, complete the following steps:
-
Select Configure, then Exposure Analytics, then Configuration settings.
-
Select the Processing searches tab.
-
Under Entity posture, select Run or change the Schedule for the asset or user posture metric trend.
You can also turn off posture metric trend processing searches by changing the toggle next to each search to Off.
