Deploy the Splunk Operator using manifest files

Install and configure the Splunk Operator for your Kubernetes environment.

Install and configure the Splunk Operator for Kubernetes using kubectl and YAML manifest files. These procedures cover installation, configurable settings, namespace scoping, private registries, license acceptance, and distroless image support.

Note: Helm is the only supported method for installing and managing the Splunk Operator for Kubernetes. See Install the Splunk Operator using Helm.

Review the configurable settings and customization methods, then follow the installation and configuration procedures that apply to your environment. Users of Red Hat OpenShift should review the Red Hat OpenShift documentation.

Note: Copy the Splunk Enterprise Docker image to a private registry, or directly onto your Kubernetes workers before creating large Splunk Enterprise deployments. See the Required Images documentation and the Advanced Installation Instructions for guidance on working with copies of the Docker images.
