Use the ITSI Advanced Configuration page

Apply global settings and configure multiple objects (services, KPIs, entities) using the Advanced configuration page in ITSI. Select the Advanced ITSI configurations button from from the ITSI Configuration Assistant page to access this page. You must have the administrator role to make these system changes.

Services and objects settings

Option Description
Service analyzer automatic refresh Set a time interval for the Service Analyzer to update automatically with the latest search data. For more information, see Overview of the Service Analyzer in ITSI.
KPI time policy shifting Adjust all of the KPI time policies for selected KPI base templates, services, and adaptive thresholding calculations. For more information, see Edit time policies for multiple KPIs.
Rules engine queue mode Turn off the queue messaging system in Rules Engine and process events using the previous real time search instead. Queue mode is a more efficient way to process notable events in ITSI, starting with ITSI version 4.20.0. For more information, see Rules engine queue mode.

Configuration properties settings

Update common ITSI configuration settings from this page, instead of accessing a .conf file.

You must have an ITSI administrator role to update configuration settings from this page.

Update common settings configured in .conf files, such as the service analyzer timeout, rules engine properties, and other settings directly from this page. This table lists the configuration file settings you can modify.

ITSI preview features

Turn on preview features to test feature capabilities in your ITSI environment. These features are not yet supported by Splunk Support and can affect your existing configurations. Assess the impact of each feature to your environment before you activate a feature. The list of preview features listed on the Advanced Configuration page updates with each ITSI release.
