Change user session duration

Administrators can change the default user session duration from the Settings page. New organizations use a default duration of 1 day. An administrator can increase up to 30-day duration if longer sessions are needed.
  1. Sign in to Splunk Observability Cloud with an organization administrator account, then open Settings.
  2. Go to the User session management section.
  3. Enter the user session duration in days.
Note: Use the shortest duration that supports your organization's workflow. A shorter session duration reduces the time an unattended or exposed session can remain usable. If the field rejects a value, verify that the entry is a valid number of days and does not exceed the displayed maximum.
  4. Confirm and save your changes.
The updated duration becomes the default for user sessions.
