Preview template
The Preview template page displays the complete Collector configuration generated from the component inventory and pipeline selections.
The YAML editor provides a full configuration view. You can review the generated YAML, validate the configuration, and make edits if necessary to the collector configuration. You can also copy or download the YAML configuration.
If you are editing a template, the YAML editor displays the existing configuration and the updated configuration.
After you review or edit the YAML, select Save to add the template.
Note: The
opamp/splunk_o11y extension and resource::attributes sections are automatically removed from the template before saving. This action prevents the Collector from overriding its effective configuration, which can otherwise result in multiple running instances.
