Migration Jobs dashboard
The Migration Jobs dashboard lists the migration jobs you create in Migration Tool. Use it to monitor job and artifact results, investigate issues, and re-migrate eligible failed items.
The Migration Jobs dashboard lists the migration jobs you create in Migration Tool. Use it to monitor job and artifact results, investigate issues, and re-migrate eligible failed items.
After you start a migration from the New Migration Job page, the job appears on this dashboard.
Access the Migration Jobs dashboard
- Log in to the Splunk Observability Cloud.
- Select .
- In the left navigation panel, select Migration Jobs. The Migration Jobs dashboard opens and displays all migration jobs.
Migration Jobs list
Use Search to find jobs by job name, source, or destination. Select Failed or partial to show jobs that need attention.
Select Refresh to get the latest job status. Job statuses do not update automatically.
You can find the following details:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Job name | The generated job name and artifact type. Select the job name to open its details. |
| Source | The Splunk AppDynamics Controller connection used for the job. |
| Destination | The Splunk Observability Cloud connection used for the job. |
| Created by | The username of the person who started the job. |
| Started at | Not Started until the job begins; then the job start date and time. |
| Items status | Counts of artifacts by result: Successful, Failed, Partial, or Cancelled. A job shows Cancelled when a user cancels it from . |
| Actions | Lets you cancel an eligible migration job. |
Job Details
Select a job name to open the Job Details page. The top of the page shows the job name, the user who created it, and the start time.
Use the controls to find and manage artifacts:

| Search | Filters artifacts by name. |
| Application | Filters artifacts by source application. |
| Action | Filters artifacts by follow-up type: Auto-retryable, Action required, or Non-recoverable. |
| Re-migrate | Re-migrates eligible failed or partially completed items. Select Re-migrate, then confirm in the confirmation dialog. You can re-migrate the same job up to three times. |
| Refresh | Refreshes artifact statuses. |
Artifact migration results
The artifact table lists the individual artifacts included in the migration job and their migration results. Each row represents one artifact included in the migration job, for example, a Health Rule, dashboard, or HTTP request template.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The migrated artifact name. |
| Application/Dashboard | The source application for a Health Rule, or the dashboard that contains a dashboard entity. |
| Status | The artifact migration result. For failed or partially completed items, select View Details to review the error, cause, and payload. |
Understand migration statuses
Use this table to understand each migration status and the action to take next.
| Status | Description | Recommended action |
|---|---|---|
| Success | The artifact migrated successfully. | Validate it in Splunk Observability Cloud. |
| Failed | The artifact did not migrate. | Select View Details, resolve the issue, and re-migrate if eligible. |
| Partial | The artifact migrated with issues that require review. | Select View Details to review the error, cause, and payload; then re-migrate if eligible or complete the required manual work. |
| Cancelled | The migration job was cancelled before it completed. | Review the job results and start a new migration when ready. |
View artifact details
For failed or partially completed artifacts, select View Details to investigate the migration result. The details page has two tabs:

| Summary | Shows the artifact's migration result, including its status, error message or cause, and any recommended follow-up action. |
| Payload | Shows the request and response payload associated with the migration attempt. Use this information to troubleshoot the failure or share details with support. |
