Set Up Disaster Recovery for Virtual Appliance

You must set up disaster recovery for your Virtual Appliance to secure your data in the event of a disaster. This page explains how to configure disaster recovery in your Virtual Appliance deployment.

First, create a destination Virtual Appliance identical to your existing one, see Install Splunk AppDynamics Services. The disaster recovery plan uses an NFS server to store backups. These backups can be used to restore data to the destination Virtual Appliance. In this setup, your existing Virtual Appliance is the source Virtual Appliance.
Note: After creating a destination Virtual Appliance, ensure that all the services are up and running.
