Prepare your environment for the Self-Healing Pipeline feature

Verify the required permissions and app installations, then enable acceleration for the CIM data models you want to monitor.

Complete these checks before you use the Self-Healing Pipeline feature in the Ingest Monitoring app.

  1. Confirm that your account has admin permissions in the Splunk Cloud Platform environment where you use Ingest Monitoring.
  2. Confirm that the required apps are installed on your Splunk Cloud Platform instance.
    • The Ingest Monitoring app version 1.4.0 (splunk-ingest-monitoring v1.4.0).

    • The Splunk Common Information Model (CIM) app (Splunk_SA_CIM).

  3. Enable acceleration for each CIM data model you want to monitor, and verify that acceleration is on.
    1. In Splunk Web, select Settings > Data Models.
    2. Find each data model you want to monitor and confirm that Acceleration is turned on. If it is off, enable acceleration for that data model.

Examples of CIM data models include Authentication, Network Traffic, and Endpoint.

Your environment has the required permissions and apps, and acceleration is enabled for the CIM data models you want to monitor.
