Review add-on package contents
An add-on package can include the following files:
- props.conf
- Defines field extraction settings.
- transforms.conf
- Defines transformation rules for field extractions.
- eventtypes.conf
- Defines event type classifications.
- tags.conf
- Defines tags that support CIM categorization.
- app.conf
- Defines add-on metadata.
- default.meta
- Defines permissions and settings.
- known_issues.md
- Lists issues that Guided Onboarding did not resolve while creating the output.
Review SPL2 output contents
Review SPL2 output for field extraction functions, CIM normalization logic, and data transformation rules. Deploy SPL2 output to the supported data processing runtime for your environment, such as Edge Processor or Ingest Processor.
Deploy generated schema files
Guided Onboarding generates and validates files and packages, but it does not deploy them. Install add-ons, deploy SPL2 output, configure data routing, and test performance outside Guided Onboarding.
