Verify the universal forwarder installation to a macOS fleet

Verify that the universal forwarder is correctly installed and running on your macOS fleet by checking process status, forwarder health, version, and deployment client connectivity.

To verify whether the universal forwarder installation to a fleet of macOS machines was successful, take the following steps:
  1. Check if splunkd is running:
