About AI tier
AI tier brings selected Splunk AI functionality, including Splunk AI Toolkit and Splunk AI Assistant, to Splunk platform customers who can't access Splunk cloud environments. AI tier lets on-premises, bare-metal, and air-gapped customers run supported Splunk AI services locally while maintaining control over their data, compliance requirements, and infrastructure.
AI tier version 1.0.0 uses a customer-managed Kubernetes environment together with validated hardware and software. AI tier deployments use Splunk Operator for Kubernetes (SOK) together with validated AI infrastructure components as part of a validated deployment architecture. Initial deployments use a guided onboarding engagement, and Support is provided for published hardware, software, topology, and benchmark configurations.
After you deploy AI tier, you can configure supported AI applications, models, and functionality to use the local AI tier deployment. AI tier 1.0.0 supports Splunk AI Toolkit and Splunk AI Assistant for customers with a valid Splunk Enterprise license. For information about supported capabilities and links to the applicable product documentation, see Using AI tier.
AI tier is a free app available on Splunkbase. See AI tier.
