Install Splunk AI Assistant for Splunk Enterprise customers with AI tier

Splunk Enterprise customers can use Splunk AI Assistant with an AI tier deployment. With AI tier, AI processing occurs within your infrastructure.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • Your AI tier environment is deployed and configured.

  • You have the Splunk AI Assistant Service URL for your AI tier deployment.

Installation steps

Complete the following steps to access, install, and configure Splunk AI Assistant for Splunk Enterprise customers with AI tier:

  1. Download Splunk AI Assistant from Splunkbase.

  2. Install Splunk AI Assistant with the in-product app browser. The command line interface (CLI) is not required. When using the in-product app browser, search by "AI Assistant" to find the listing for Splunk AI Assistant.

  3. Launch Splunk AI Assistant to open the app configuration page.

  4. Select Continue to app setup page.

  5. On the onboarding page, select AI tier as shown in the following image:

  6. Select Begin setup.

  7. Review the information on the Getting started page, then select Next.

  8. On the Configure SOK and Splunk AI Assistant page, enter the Splunk AI Assistant Service URL for your AI tier deployment.

  9. Select Complete Setup.

After setup is complete, Splunk AI Assistant uses the configured AI tier deployment for supported AI Assistant functionality.
