Installing apps for IngestorCluster instances

Install applications on IngestorCluster instances using local scope, and learn how SOK manages application-triggered rolling restarts.

Application installation for IngestorCluster instances supports only local scope.

SOK monitors the application deployment status and checks the IngestorCluster pods for the restart_required condition. When a restart is required, SOK performs a rolling restart by evicting the IngestorCluster pods one at a time, depending on the PodDisruptionBudget (PDB). During an App Framework deployment, SOK temporarily pauses pod eviction so that temporary restart signals caused by configuration changes do not trigger unintended restarts.
