Use new dashboard experience

Create dashboards using the newly enhanced and customizable dashboard experience.

Use the new dashboard experience to create dynamic dashboards that support a greater range of visualization types, diverse data sources, and layout options, along with greater customization capabilities to help you visualize key metrics in your organization. The legacy dashboard builder will be phased out in a future release and replaced with this new dashboard builder.

Dashboards built using the new experience support existing chart types, new visualizations, and new capabilities such as sections and section tabs. Some features currently available in the legacy dashboard builder may not yet be available in the new dashboard experience. Additional enhancements are planned in future releases. To access the list of dashboards, select Dashboards from the left navigation menu and Create dashboard.

Migrate all dashboards to new experience

To update all dashboards in your organization to the new experience and set the new experience as the default, contact your Splunk Account team. Once migrated, your dashboards will be organized on the landing page. If you need to revert back to the classic dashboard experience after migration, you contact Support.
