Audit log page details
Reference information about the entity type selector, audit log table, table columns, and migration action types.
Entity type selector
The Entity Type drop-down at the top of the page controls which category of audit events the table displays. You must select an entity type before any log entries appear.
Select the drop-down to view the available entity types. The page provides the following entity types:

Migration |
Displays audit logs for all migration job activities, including when migration jobs start, complete, or fail. Each entry records the user, tenant, action status, and a View Summary link for detailed results. |

Configuration |
Displays audit logs for configuration generation activities, including when users create, update, or delete configurations. It also includes NoCode configuration events. |
|
Report |
Displays audit logs for report generation activities, including discovery or inventory reports generated from Splunk AppDynamics. |
|
User |
Displays audit logs for user authentication activities, including logins and logouts. |
Audit Logs provide event history. Use the Migration Jobs dashboard to review artifact-level results, errors, and remigration actions.

You can view the following details:

User |
The email address or user identifier of the person who initiated the recorded action. |
|
Tenant |
The tenant associated with the recorded action. |
|
Action |
The recorded action and its outcome. |

Summary |
A View Summary link that opens the available details for the recorded action. If you select Configuration as the Entity Type and NoCode as the Action, the Summary column does not display any information. The Report and User entity types do not include this column. |

Timestamp |
The date and time when the action occurred. |
Migration action types
| Entity type | Action | Description |

| Migration | Migration Started | The system initiated a migration job. |
| Migration | Migration Completed | The migration job finished successfully or partially. Check the migration job details for the actual outcome. |
| Migration | Migration Failed | The migration job encountered an error and did not complete successfully. |
| Configuration | Config Created | The system generated a new configuration successfully. |
| Configuration | NoCode | The system recorded a NoCode configuration event. |
| Configuration | Config Updated | A user updated or modified an existing configuration. |
| Configuration | Config Deleted | A user removed a configuration from the system. Deleting removes the source inventory but retains the configuration record. |
| Report | Discovery Report | The system generated a discovery or inventory report from the source Splunk AppDynamics Controller. |
| Report | BT Analysis Report | The system generated an analytics report by comparing Business Transactions discovered in Splunk AppDynamics and Splunk Observability Cloud for the selected application. |
| Report | Generate Report Dual Ingestion | The system generated a report that compares each tier of a selected Splunk AppDynamics application with services actively ingesting data into Splunk Observability Cloud. |
| Report | Inventory Report | The system generated a report that contains the detailed inventory of the selected APM-specific application, including tiers, nodes, Business Transactions, and instrumentation details. |
| Report | Waves Report | The system generated a wave planning report that groups APM applications into recommended migration waves based on complexity, dependencies, and criticality. |
| User | Login | The user logged in to Migration Tool. |
| User | Logout | The user logged out of Migration Tool. |
