Changes to libraries

This version of Splunk App for SOAR Export has the following library changes:

New library

  • more_itertools version 10.7.0

Updated libraries

  • axios to version 1.13.1

  • cherrypy to version 18.10.0

  • mako to version 1.3.10

Removed library

  • httplib2
Enhanced security for server validation When you add a new server or update server settings, you must now validate that the new server information is correct.
Event forwarding update

Updated the event forwarding script from a shell script to a custom alert action, because the shell script is deprecated. You will not notice any changes in functionality.

This change occurs the first time you restart a search head after installing this version of Splunk App for SOAR Export. Any existing event forwarding scripts are migrated to alert actions.

Changes appear in the following files:

  • savedsearches.conf

  • phantom.conf: The When triggered field shows SOAR Event Forwarding custom alert action. Previous entries show Run a Script with the phantom_forward.py file name.
Updated .conf settings for Python 3.13 compatibility Added new python.required setting to .conf files.
