ITSI compatibility with related apps and add-ons
This table lists IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) releases and tested versions of related Splunk products. Install a related product only when the corresponding ITSI feature or integration is in use. The same related-app versions apply to ITSI 5.0 and ITSI 5.0.1.
- The Splunk AI Toolkit is required if you want to leverage ITSI's machine learning capabilities. ITSI recommends using Splunk AI Toolkit version 5.7.4.

CAUTION: Do not install Python for Scientific Computing (PSC) versions 3.2.1, 3.2.4, 4.2.1, or 4.2.3. These versions contain proprietary libraries that are no longer licensed for distribution.
The Python for Scientific Computing Add-on is required only when the selected Splunk AI Toolkit release or a custom algorithm requires it. Install the PSC release supported by that AI Toolkit version; do not assume that every later PSC release is compatible. When PSC 4.3.2 or later is required, verify the exact dependency before installation: Python for Scientific Computing
- The Common Information Model (CIM) is required for bidirectional ticketing with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and Jira Service Management. For more information, see Overview of episode actions in ITSI.dditional integration requirements:
- BMC Remedy: Install Splunk Add-on for BMC Remedy version 5.7.0 or later only when integrating ITSI with BMC Remedy.
- Jira Service Management: Install Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud only when integrating ITSI with Jira Service Management.
- Cloud Connect: Splunk App for Cloud Connect version 1.1.0 is compatible with ITSI 5.0 and ITSI 5.0.1.
Use the remaining matrix columns conditionally: Splunk App for Content Packs is required when content packs are installed; Splunk Add-on for ServiceNow is required for the ServiceNow integration; Splunk AI Assistant is required only when using the AI Assistant integration; and MCP Server for Splunk Platform is required only when using MCP Server functionality.

Compatibility in this table does not by itself confirm Python 3.13 compatibility or compatibility with the target Splunk platform release. Before upgrading to ITSI 5.0 or ITSI 5.0.1, verify every installed dependency and private app against both requirements.
