Enable an Email Server
The SMTP email server must be configured to enable email and SMS notifications and digests to be sent by the Controller.
Important: Several carriers have discontinued support for email-to-text notifications, which prevents Splunk AppDynamics SMS alerts from functioning on those networks. The best practice is to configure HTTP request actions to handle event responses instead. For example, you can send an HTTP request action to PageDuty or Slack.
