You can install the Splunk OTel Collector using the Cluster Agent to send the Kubernetes-related data from Splunk AppDynamics SaaS to Splunk Observability Cloud. Splunk Observability Cloud displays a comprehensive information about Kubernetes entities based on applications correlated with the Cluster Agent.

To view the details on Splunk Observability Cloud, you require Splunk AppDynamics SaaS Controller 25.7.

If you already have Splunk Observability Cloud installed, you can upgrade the Cluster Agent without installing Splunk OTel Collector. However, Cluster Agent and OTel Collector must be on the same cluster. To upgrade Cluster Agent, see Upgrade Cluster Agent.
