This page describes hardware and software requirements for the Controller and other components hosted on private or public cloud to help you prepare for your Splunk AppDynamics deployment.

Network Considerations

Your network or the host machine may have built-in firewall rules that you require to adjust to accommodate the Splunk AppDynamics On-Premises platform. Also, you may require to allow network traffic on the ports used in the system. For more information, see Port Settings.

System User Account

Install all the platform components with a single user account or accounts that have the equivalent permissions on the operating system.
