Set Up Disaster Recovery for Virtual Appliance

To safeguard your data in case of a disaster, you must configure disaster recovery for your Virtual Appliance. This page explains how to configure disaster recovery in your Virtual Appliance deployment.

Begin by creating a destination Virtual Appliance that matches your current setup. For instructions, refer to the Install Splunk AppDynamics Services. The disaster recovery process relies on an NFS server to store backup files, which can then be used to restore data to your destination Virtual Appliance. In this configuration, your current Virtual Appliance serves as the source.
Note: After creating a destination Virtual Appliance, ensure that all the services are up and running.
