The Splunk AppDynamics extension buildpack, adds multibuildpack support for .NET Core Linux, .NET Core Windows, .NET HWC, Python and Golang applications.

Java support added to the Splunk AppDynamics Extension Buildpack.Splunk AppDynamics Extension Buildpack now supports Advanced configuration for the Java Agent. When Cisco AppDynamics Extension Buildpack is used in tandem with the java_buildpack sensitive information is automatically masked.

The Splunk AppDynamics Application Analytics Agent is no longer part of this tile. Splunk AppDynamics Application Analytics for VMware Tanzu is released as a separate tile on the Pivotal Network.

Added Splunk AppDynamics Buildpack.NET applications supported by hwc buildpack can be instrumented now by using the Splunk AppDynamics Buildpack in tandem with hwc_buildpack (v3.0 or later) using multibuildpack approach. Must use cf CLI v6.38 or later and HWC Buildpack v3.0 or later to use multibuildpacks.

Platform Metrics has been moved and managed as a different tile, Splunk AppDynamics Platform Monitoring for VMware Tanzu, starting this release. The tile now contains Cisco AppDynamics Service Broker and Cisco AppDynamics Transactional Analytics.

This major release now contains an Splunk AppDynamics Machine Agent and an extension that talks to a custom nozzle and collects KPI metrics from the cloud-foundry environment. The tile contains:

• Splunk AppDynamics Machine Agent, for collecting KPI metrics through Loggregator

The tile requires having VMware Tanzu Ops Manager: v2.0.7 or later.
