End of Support Notice: Deprecation of HTTP Transport Protocol (Browser, Mobile, and IoT Applications)
The End User Monitoring (EUM) agents (JavaScript, iOS, Android, and IoT SDK) have historically used both HTTP and HTTPS transport protocols to send EUM traffic to AppDynamics.
Effective January 31st, 2023, AppDynamics will stop accepting HTTP traffic in an effort to improve customer security.
Affected Software
AppDynamics Browser Real User Monitoring (RUM), Mobile RUM, and IoT RUM customers who use HTTP as the transport protocol for the EUM Agents are affected by this change.
Resolution
Customers using HTTP will need to change the configuration of their EUM agents to use HTTPS prior to January 31st, 2023. See the following pages for instructions:
- Configure the JavaScript Agent to Use HTTPS
- Configure the Mobile IOS Agent to Use HTTPS
- Configure the Mobile Android Agent to Use HTTPS
- Configure the Mobile JAVA IOT SDK to Use HTTPS
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact customer support or use our support portal.
