Support Advisory: Windows-Based Private Synthetic Agent Deprecation
This document describes the support advisory for an AppDynamics product.
Summary
The Windows-based Private Synthetic Agent (PSA) will be deprecated on November 21, 2021.
Affected Software
Windows-based PSA
After the deprecation, AppDynamics will provide support for Windows-based PSA for 1 year (until November 21, 2022). P0 and P1 issues will be addressed during this period. However, the known security vulnerabilities will not be fixed.
Resolution
Replace Windows-based PSA with Linux-based PSA.
Perform the following steps to install Linux-based PSA:

Upgrade the Synthetic server to >=21.4.1.

Download the Linux-based PSA from the AppDynamics downloads portal.

Set up a Kubernetes cluster and install the Linux-based PSA.
