The following sections describe known issues in the Splunk Help Portal. Known issues are added based on each portal update. Issues are removed from this page when fixed.

The following table includes known issues of the Help Portal.

Issue Description
Unable to see which content applies to FedRamp No indicator that you are on FedRamp documentation.
Navigation to Help portal home Top navigation icon does not communicate its target, which is the Help portal homepage.
Broken links to related content Some links to other Help portal content result in 404 errors.
Canonical URLs in HTML The HTML header does not contain a canonical URL, which is the stable URL organic search engines should index. This sometimes causes search engines to return previous versions of content and duplicate results.
Content ready to be consumed by LLMs Content sets and individual topics are not downloadable in an AI-friendly format.
Exact match searches Searching exact phrases, such as JIRA ticket numbers in known and fixed issues documentation, does not always return the right result.
Length of URLs Help portal URLs are frequently longer than best practice recommendation of under 100 characters.
Product Search Filter label in search results Product filter for content without product metadata tags appears as "Product Search Filter" instead of the name of the product.
Last modified timestamp Make the date of the last modification viewable to communicate content authority.
