Fixed issues in the Help Portal
This page describes fixed issues in the latest updates to the Splunk Help Portal.
April 30, 2026
The following issues are fixed in this update to the Help Portal:

| Print icon ambiguous | The printer icon is now updated to a PDF icon to reduce ambiguity about its usage. |
| URL redirects | Fixed redirects that were routed to a 404 page. |

Permanent link for latest version and unable to see latest version |
Added permanent link to latest version and listed as latest in drop-down menu. See Copy the latest or versioned link to a topic. |
| Unable to download PDFs for entire manual | Added functionality to download PDFs at the manual level. Topic and manual-level PDFs are actively being rolled out and subject to availability. See Manuals available in PDF format and Download PDFs in the Help Portal. |
| Table formatting | Fixed tables that were incorrectly rendered, resulting in overflowing or missing text. |
| Redirects for legacy docs.splunk.com site "latest" URLs | Fixed legacy docs.splunk.com site "latest" URLs to redirect to the latest version on the Help portal instead of the legacy docs site. |

The following issue was fixed in this update to the Help Portal:

| Version selector | Using the version selector now loads the chosen version of the page that was being viewed. This restores the behavior that existed before the February 3, 2026 site update. |

The following issues were fixed in this update to the Help Portal:

| Load times too slow | Added new site header, which improved loading times for page performance. |
| Zoom into icons before page loads | Added new site header, which fixed the issue where large icons appeared briefly before the page loaded. |
| Breadcrumb issues in versioned content | Fixed unexpected behavior when selecting breadcrumbs in versioned content. |
| Search bar in top navigation | Fixed issue where search bar moves when selected, making it difficult to enter text. |
| Assistance navigating the Help portal | Updated the Help Portal Release Notes and Updates guide with detailed information about portal navigation. See Using the Help Portal. |

The following issues were fixed in this update to the Help Portal:

| Version in topic breadcrumb | Removed version from breadcrumb on page of versioned content, which prevented the breadcrumb links from loading properly. |
| Find (Ctrl+F) on landing pages | Searching for specific words using Ctrl+F on landing pages did not highlight and navigate to the next result. |
| Search bar too large | Reduced the size of the search bar. |
