Set your global preferences

Set your defaults for the CMC. Each user can set their own preferences.

  1. In the CMC app, select your user profile in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. On the Preferences page, select Global.

Set your default time zone

The CMC app displays time-based data in panels, charts, and tables based on the default time zone set for your user profile.

To review or reset your current time zone setting, select an option from the Time zone drop-down and select Apply.

Set your default application

You can select the Splunk Cloud app that opens when you log on. By default, you see the Home app. Select an option from the Default application drop-down and select Apply.

Set your background jobs preference

Splunk can automatically restart background jobs when the Splunk software is restarted. Use the Restart Background Jobs switch to select or deselect this option.

Set your theme

You can select a light or dark theme for the CMC and other apps.

  1. Select your preferred theme from the Theme drop-down.

  2. Click Apply.

  3. Exit the Preferences page and refresh your browser. Your selected theme will apply across all Splunk Cloud apps that support it.
