Troubleshoot the CMC dashboards
If you have any issues with a CMC dashboard, try these methods of troubleshooting:
- Check that any necessary setup is properly configured and enabled. For example, you must first configure the Forwarders Monitoring Setup page to use the Forwarders dashboards.
- If you have a support contract, log in and file a new case using the Splunk Support Portal. Otherwise, contact Splunk Customer Support.
CMC error messages
You may have an issue that invokes an error message page. These issues may be resolved by refreshing the page. If the issue persists, contact Splunk with the following information:
- The error message that you received, as listed in the following table.
- The search ID that failed, which is displayed on the error page.
The following table lists common error messages and their meaning:

| Failed to fetch user info | The dashboard was unable to fetch stack information for the currently logged-in user. |
| No user info results returned | The dashboard was unable to fetch one or more of the required user information elements:

| Search execution failed while fetching user info | The search was canceled or not found. |
| Failed to fetch CMC info | The dashboard was unable to fetch the CMC information for the currently logged-in user. |
| No CMC info results returned | The dashboard was unable to fetch one or more of the required CMC information elements:

| Search execution failed while fetching CMC info | The search was canceled or not found. |
| Failed to fetch FIPS configuration | The dashboard was unable to determine if the stack is running in FIPS mode. |
| Search execution failed while fetching FIPS configuration | The search was canceled or not found. |
| Failed to fetch deployment environment | The dashboard was unable to fetch the deployment environment of the current stack:

| No environment results returned (localhost, play, stage, prod) | The environment returned (localhost, play, stage, or prod) does not match the currently defined CMC deployment environment. |
| Search execution failed while fetching environment | The search was canceled or not found. |
| Failed to fetch server info | The dashboard was unable to fetch the server platform information:
