Add navigation links to services and entities in ITSI

You must have write access to a service to add drilldown links to a service. For more information, see ITSI capabilities reference in the Administration Manual.

Add drilldown links to service templates and entity types in ITSI to quickly access relevant resources from the service analyzer and facilitate troubleshooting.
  1. From the navigation menu, go to the Service Templates page and create a new template, or edit an existing template.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Under the Service analyzer navigation links section, select Add link.
  4. Select one destination for your drilldown link:
    1. Splunk dashboard
    2. External URL: can only be HTTP or HTTPS links.
  5. (Optional) Set advanced configuration settings for your drilldown, such as adding a parameter or token to the drilldown URL link.
  6. Select Save

After adding drilldown links, go to the linked services in the service analyzer to view your links. Relevant links display next to the service’s name, or by clicking a KPI linked to the service, and then viewing the links listed in the Drilldowns column in the Entities side panel.
