Create an event definition from session replay
Create event definitions for use in Digital Experience Analytics (DXA) directly from the Splunk RUM session replay player.
- From the Analyses tab, select any of your configured analyses.
- Select a specific data point on any of your analyses to view a list of sessions. Select a specific session from the list to open the session replay player.
- View the list of Events to see a list of events organized by the event type, including errors, interactions, frustration events, and custom events. Filter for specific events using the filter dropdown.
- Select Create event definition to open the event definition configuration modal for a specific event in the session, and configure a new event definition. Update the event definition settings:
- Tags: Select a tag that represents the element you want to track.
- Select whether to track the behavior only on all URLs where the event occurs, the current session URL, or a specific URL group.
- Configure the event definition for the specific event type. Preview sample data for your definition in the Occurrences section.
