Splunk AppDynamics On-Premises Enhancements

To enhance security, administrators using local credentials in the Controller must now re-enter their current password before modifying user credentials on the Administration > Users page. This measure prevents unauthorized modifications to account credentials. See Administrative Settings Overview.

You can now use the following predefined variable in HTTP request or email templates to include the AppDynamics database hostname in alerts:

${latestEvent.eventProperties.hostname}

This hostname, which is registered in the CMDB record, is required for proper correlation and incident management. See Predefined Templating Variables.

You can now suppress health rule evaluations for a scheduled time window. During a suppression window, AppDynamics pauses health rule evaluation for the selected rules — no violations fire and no associated actions or alerts trigger, even when metric thresholds are breached. See Health Rule Suppression and Health Rule Suppression API.

This release supports the following MongoDB metrics:

• QueryExecutor_Scanned
• QueryExecutor_ScannedObjects
• QueryExecutor_CollectionScans_NonTailable
• QueryExecutor_CollectionScans_Total

On the Licensing Events page, you can now:

• filter events by health rules and license events - such as License limit exceeded, Not authorized, Invalid access key, and Account license created/updated/expired based on specific applications using the Application Scope.

• view the details of the application associated with an event.
