Back Up and Restore Datastores

Back up and restore Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and MySQL data by using MinIO S3-compatible storage or an NFS server.

Use the procedures in this content set after you configure the selected backup backend. MinIO S3-compatible storage uses the repo2 repository. NFS storage uses the repo3 repository.

Choose an in-place restore when the datastore remains available and you want to return to an earlier backup. Choose a disaster-recovery procedure after data PVC loss or corruption.

CAUTION: Disaster-recovery procedures delete persistent volume claims. Verify the backup and identify the exact data PVCs before you begin.
