End User Monitoring License Rules
You can create a license rule to allocate the total available End User Monitoring (EUM) license units among the Browser Real User Monitoring (BRUM) and Mobile Real User Monitoring (MRUM) applications based on your usage patterns. The rule ensures that an application does not over consume license units and leaves other critical applications without any license units.
The Create EUM License Rule page displays the total available EUM license units. The license units allocation among the BRUM and MRUM applications must be equal to the total available license units. Otherwise, you cannot create the rule.
For example, if the total EUM license unit is 100, you can allocate 30 license units for the BRUM applications and 70 license units for the MRUM applications. If you allocate 30 license units for the BRUM applications and 80 license units for the MRUM applications, an over-allocation error is displayed. You receive an under-allocation error if the allocation units among the BRUM and MRUM applications are less than the total available units.
You can change an existing license rule with a new rule. The new rule changes the license allocation among the applications. It might free up the license units consumed by some applications and stops the data ingestion to these applications. If such a scenario arises, you get a warning message before confirming the new rule.
A license rule is valid for the entire license usage cycle until the administrator deletes the rule.
