Set up a private network for air-gapped registration
If your organization works in an air-gapped environment, you can set up a private network for Splunk Edge Hub device registration.
You'll set up Private Spacebridge, obtain and install a self-signed certificate, and proceed to register your Splunk Edge Hub devices.
Prerequisites and requirements
Complete the following before setting up a private network for Splunk Edge Hub device registration:
- Complete the steps at Installation and configuration overview for Splunk Edge Hub OS.
- Use Splunk Edge Hub OS version 1.9.0 or higher, Splunk Edge Mobile for iOS or Android version 1.10.0 or higher, and the Splunk OT Intelligence version 4.7.1 or higher.
1. Set up Private Spacebridge
Set up Private Spacebridge, a backend infrastructure that allows devices to securely connect to a Splunk platform instance deployed within your own Kubernetes cluster.

2. Obtain and install a self-signed certificate
