Create a Kubernetes group

Create a group for Kubernetes clusters, receiver workloads, agent workloads, and gateway workloads.

You need write access to create and save a group. You also need deploy access to save and deploy a group. See Group permission.

To create a Kubernetes group, you need to:

  1. Setup group: Define the group name and basic configuration settings for your Kubernetes group.
  2. Choose clusters: Apply filter to select the Kubernetes clusters to include in this group.
  3. Optional: Choose receiver workloads: Apply filter to select the workloads designated to receive telemetry data.
  4. Optional: Choose agent workloads: Apply filter to select the workloads where OpenTelemetry agents will be deployed.
  5. Optional: Choose gateway workloads: Apply filter to select the workloads that will act as gateways for data forwarding.
  6. Preview the YAML configuration: Review the generated YAML configuration before applying it to your cluster.
