Navigate the Splunk Help Portal and discover new features in this site experience. Here's how you can find the information you need.
Browse documentation
You can navigate the Help Portal in these ways:
-
Hover over the site header to navigate to the product or manual you're looking for.
-
Browse through the product tiles on the homepage.
-
Use the search bar.
-
Return to the homepage by selecting the Splunk icon in the upper-left corner.
For more information, see Finding documentation in the Help Portal.
Copy the latest or versioned link to a topic
URLs to topic files can change as versions are updated or if topic titles or guide names shift over time. To ensure that you can always return to the latest version of the topic or to a particular version of the topic, copy the permanent, stable link to the topic.
For detailed steps, see Copy the latest or versioned link to a topic.
Use AI with the Help Portal
You can ask AI about the page you're on. Select the sparkle icon (), then select an AI model from the drop-down menu. A new tab opens and automatically starts a conversation in your selected model based on the topic you referenced.
Currently, the following models are supported:
-
ChatGPT
-
Claude
Download documentation as PDFs
You can download documentation for a single topic or as a whole manual and save it offline in PDF format.
To download documentation as a PDF for offline use, select the PDF icon (). For detailed steps, see Download PDFs in the Help Portal.
Select versions
Use the version selector on each topic page to choose the product version relevant to you.
For most products, you can select the major.minor version, such as 9.4, instead of every major.minor.maintenance version, such as 9.4.1 and 9.4.2. See Selecting versions in the Help Portal.
Read localized documentation
You can now access localized documentation for our site, making it easier for users around the globe to access content in their preferred languages.
For more information, see Localized documentation in the Help Portal.
Share feedback
Feedback has always been a pillar of Splunk documentation, and that hasn't changed. To leave feedback about a documentation page or your experience with this portal, use the Share feedback button at the bottom of the topic. For information on what happens when you share your feedback, see About the Splunk documentation team feedback program.
