Support Advisory: 21.5 .NET Agent for Linux

This document describes the support advisory for an AppDynamics product.

Summary

Environments upgraded to 21.5 .NET Agent for Linux may experience high CPU consumption, particularly in high throughput applications instrumented by the agent.

Affected Software

High throughput .NET Core applications on Linux which are instrumented with 21.5 .NET Agent for Linux.

Workaround

If you experience this issue, we recommend that you:

  • Downgrade .NET Agent to 20.11 until the hotfix for this issue is generally available, or
  • Contact Technical Support for potential workarounds.

Resolution

AppDynamics Engineering is currently working on releasing a hotfix for this issue.
