Splunk Edge Hub OS release notes
You can collect sensor data and stream it into a Splunk platform instance using the Splunk Edge Hub and Splunk Edge Hub OS.

What's new
Splunk Edge Hub OS version 2.0.0 has the following updates:
- You can send external MQTT sensor data as events without converting it to metrics first. See Send external MQTT sensor data as events to learn more.
- Regarding Docker containers, the Docker daemon and subsequent Docker containers will no longer run as the root user. See Splunk Edge Hub version 2.0 security update to learn more.

Known issues
The following are known issues in this version of Splunk Edge Hub OS:
- Splunk Edge Hubs cannot be registered using Splunk Cloud Platform version 9.0.2209.2. Use a Splunk Cloud platform newer version instead.
- When upgrading to a new Splunk Edge Hub OS version, the Splunk General Terms Accept button might not immediately work if you're using Chrome as a browser.
- Workaround: Use a larger monitor and scroll to the bottom, or use Firefox or Safari as a browser.
