Troubleshooting

To troubleshoot container deployment and runtime issues, use the integrated logs dashboard for comprehensive diagnostics.

Access container logs

To access container logs, verify the following information:

  1. The edge_hub_logs index exists.

  2. Datastreamer is configured

Access detailed logs

When containers experience deployment or runtime issues, access detailed logs through the Splunk OTI interface.

  1. Navigate to Edge Manager and select the Edge Hub with the container issue.

  2. Click the Containers tab to view deployed containers.

  3. Click on the container deployment that requires troubleshooting.

  4. In the container details panel, click Open Logs Dashboard.

The logs dashboard provides:

  • Real-time container logs with timestamps and log levels.

  • Deployment status messages showing configuration and startup progress.

  • Error details for failed deployments or runtime issues.

  • Performance metrics including resource usage and health status.

  • Historical log data for trend analysis and debugging patterns.

Use the logs dashboard to identify the root cause of container issues and monitor resolution progress after making configuration changes.
