After you configure business transaction rules, you can use the business transaction view to monitor the performance of business operations and troubleshoot issues with the services in your application environment that deliver your business operations.

The service map in the business transaction view visualizes the services that deliver the business transaction. In this service map, you can:

Select a service node once to overlay the data for that service on the Business transaction metrics charts. Use this functionality to compare the performance of the service against the performance of the entire business transaction.

Select a service node twice to navigate to the service view for that service.

Compare service and business transaction performance

Select the Overlay service data drop-down menu and select a service to overlay the data for that service on the Business transaction metrics charts. Use this functionality to compare the performance of the service against the performance of the entire business transaction.
After you select a service, you can select Go to service view to navigate to the service view for that service.

Favorite a business transaction
Mark business transactions as favorites to create a prioritized list of critical business transactions, enable proactive monitoring, and more efficiently triage issues.
To save a business transaction as a favorite, select the star icon next to the business transaction name in the tab or the business transaction view. After you favorite a business transaction, you can enable the Favorites only toggle in the tab to filter the list by your favorites. You can have a maximum of 20 favorite business transactions.
Favorite settings persist at the user level. If you favorite a business transaction or enable the Favorites only toggle in the tab, the favorite status and Favorites only filter persist if you leave and return to the page.
To unfavorite a business transaction, select the star icon next to the business transaction name in the tab or the business transaction view.
