Release notes for February 2026

Splunk Observability Cloud released the following new features and enhancements in January 2026. This is not an exhaustive list of changes in the Splunk Observability Cloud ecosystem. For a detailed breakdown of changes in versioned components, see the list of changelogs.

Real user monitoring

The Splunk RUM iOS agent (splunk-otel-ios) version 2.0.6 is available. It includes these changes and fixes:

  • Updated Network Monitor to remove crashes during network radio change notifications.
  • Updated and unpinned the opentelemetry-swift dependency to latest version, using the new split repos (opentelemetry-swift and opentelemetry-swift-core).
  • Improved slow‑frame detection accuracy on variable refresh‑rate (ProMotion) displays.
  • Updated Network Monitor to remove potential race condition.
