Version 4.0.0 of Splunk DB Connect was released on January 1st, 2025, and contains the following new or changed features:
Starting in version 4.0.0, DB Connect now requires Java 17 or higher.
High availability support for Heavy Forwarders. High availability must be configured before use.
Documentation about how to configure High Availability in Heavy Forwarders.
Support for running DB Connect in Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliant deployments.
Documentation on how to enable FIPS.
Option to trigger Input and Output manually.
Telemetry data collection. No sensitive data is collected.
Migration logic has been removed. For more information, see the migration path that has been added to the documentation.
More options for logging level configuration.
Support for adding certificates to KeyStore from UI.
Fixes for HEC configuration in Splunk Cloud Platform.
