Splunk RUM Android agent version 2.0.0 and above

The new Splunk RUM Android agent has several enhancements.

Splunk RUM Android agent versions 2.0.0 and above have the following updates:

  • Automatic network request instrumentation through Gradle plugins com.splunk.rum-okhttp3-auto-plugin and com.splunk.rum-httpurlconnection-auto-plugin.
  • An integrated session recording module, sessionReplay.
  • An interaction tracking module to automatically capture user taps.
  • Enhanced span interception.
  • A Splunk RUM Gradle plugin, com.splunk.rum-mapping-file-plugin, for automatic uploads of mapping files.
  • Data export to Splunk RUM through OTLP protocol (HTTP/protobuf); removed support for exporting data through Zipkin.
