Instrument browser-based web applications for Splunk RUM

Instrument your browser-based web applications to get Real User Monitoring (RUM) data into Splunk Observability Cloud. With Splunk RUM, you can gain insight about the performance and health of your front-end apps, including single-page applications and mobile WebViews.

Get started with Splunk RUM for Browser

To generate all the basic installation commands for your environment and application, use the Browser Instrumentation guided setup. To access the Browser Instrumentation guided setup, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Splunk Observability Cloud.

  2. Open the Browser Instrumentation guided setup . Optionally, you can navigate to the guided setup on your own:

    1. In the navigation menu, select Data Management.

    2. Go to the Available integrations tab, or select Add Integration in the Deployed integrations tab.

    3. In the integration filter menu, select By Use Case.

    4. Select the Monitor user experience use case.

    5. Select the Browser Instrumentation tile to open the Browser Instrumentation guided setup.
